Trimiklinioti Mavrovounioti Daphne, born in Limassol in 1945, is a Cypriot painter and art professional with an extensive career spanning both Europe and her native Cyprus. In 1959, she emigrated to London, where she would reside for 35 years. During her time in the British capital, she pursued her artistic education at the prestigious Hornsey College of Art, which is now part of Middlesex University.
While in London, Trimiklinioti Daphne became an active member of the local Cypriot community, participating in numerous exhibitions and events that showcased her talent and growing reputation as a skilled artist. In 1996, she returned to her homeland, Cyprus, where she has since been living and working in Limassol.
Since 1980, Trimiklinioti Daphne has held 15 solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions across Cyprus, London, Greece, and other countries. Her artistic talents have also been utilized in the commercial sector, as she worked in advertising, graphic arts, and book and magazine illustration. Some of her notable illustration projects include editions of poems by Tefkros Anthias (1966) and Theodosi Artemis (1988).
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Trimiklinioti Daphne has been involved in various capacities within the art community. She has served on juries for visual art matters for various organizations and public services and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Costas Argyros Museum Foundation. In 2010, she was recognized for her contributions to the contemporary natural history of Cyprus with an Honorary Diploma from the Republic of Cyprus.
Trimiklinioti Daphne has also held leadership positions within the Chamber of Fine Arts, serving as Treasurer from 2003-2006 and as President since June 2006. She was re-elected to the presidency in June 2009. Furthermore, she has been a member of the Central Committee for the 50th Anniversary of the Republic of Cyprus and is a member of the Pancyprian Peace Council.
Throughout her career, Trimiklinioti Daphne’s works have been included in various government and private collections worldwide, showcasing her talent and the impact she has made on the world of art.

The total purchase price is calculated, in short, as such:
Hammer Price + Buyer’s Premium (12%) + *VAT (5% or 19%)
The Buyer’s Premium is added to the Hammer Price (winning bid) and is included as part of the total Purchase Price payable by the successful Bidder. In an Online Auction conducted by Peter’s Gallery, the Buyer’s Premium rate is as follows: 12% of the Hammer Price of any amount.
*Value Added Tax (VAT) applies as follows: artworks are taxed at a reduced rate of five percent (5%) (‡ symbol) or nineteen percent (19%) († symbol) on the hammer price, depending on the item. For items marked with the Omega symbol (Ω), the hammer price is exempt from VAT. A nineteen percent (19%) VAT applies to the Buyer’s Premium for all items, regardless of the symbol.

Effective May 2024, Peter’s Gallery has lowered its VAT rates from 19% to 5% for all categories excluding Silkscreen prints & Poster prints. Please refer to our announcement and our Terms and Conditions for more information.
Please note that Lot prices listed on this page are exclusive of the Buyer’s Premium, of any applicable taxes and costs, unless otherwise noted.
Lots will close at their scheduled time unless a bid is placed within five minutes of a Lot’s scheduled closing time, in which case we will extend the sale of that Lot by five minutes.
The extension of any Lot’s closing time does not affect any other Lot’s closing time; therefore, it is possible that Lots will close out of the announced auction ending time. Lots may extend for up to two hours to accommodate competitive bidding.
